House of Wax (2005)

"Six friends are on their way to a football game. They decide to camp out for the night and continue driving the next day. The next day the friends find that they're having car troubles, so two of the friends accept a stranger's ride into a small town named Ambrose. The main attraction in Ambrose is the House of Wax. Except something is not right in this town, the wax figures are so realistic and the whole town is deserted - except for two murderous twin brothers. The six friends must fight to survive and escape from being the next exhibits in the House of Wax."

The latest horror remake released to DVD comes in a swanky card sleeve with a few cool extras, but it's a far cry from the 2 disc DVD set fans were hoping to get.

The film looks and sounds great and the extras are cool, but the bloopers featurette is redundant as they are shown in full in one of the other featurettes.

The most hilarious thing on this disc is Joel Silver's shameful advertising promo. He manages to sell House of Wax, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang and all of the previous Dark Castle titles in a couple of minutes, via this 'clever advertising idea'. I've never witnessed anything so shameless in all of my days!

A decent package, but the Movie Life episodes would have made it much more special than it actually is.
