The sequel to the so-so ‘Wishmaster’ sees Andrew Divoff return as The Djinn, but that sadly isn’t enough, as this is by far the worst film in
the series.
When a robbery at an art gallery goes terribly wrong, Morgana a young jewel thief is shot. Luckily for her she was carrying the Djinn’s opal in
her pocket, so survives, but unfortunately for mankind the Djinn is
awakened from his slumber.
The Djinn in human guise, takes the rap and is sent down, where he begins his quest of collecting 1001 souls to bring about apocalypse.
Andrew Divoff is great as The Djinn, and some of the wishes are amusing, but despite these points and some good aesthetics the story is awful and
so are the two leads.
OVERALL SUMMARY
The only thing I wished for whilst watching this was the end credits, or
sleep….whichever came first!
