Highly regarded as one of the better ‘s campus slashers, I finally
managed to check this one out as it recently received a release on DVD in
the UK.
sorority sisters play a prank on their house mother to get back at her
for ruining their fun over the past four years. But when the prank
backfires the girls are left with a body to dispose of and a party to
plan. With the party in full swing later that night however, the guest
list begins to dwindle.
Well I have to say unlike many of the often mentioned ‘s slashers this
one does live up to it’s reputation among die hard genre fans.
The basic premise is simple but effectively orchestrated by Director Mark
Rosman, making the film a fun watch and good addition to the sorority
slashers sub-genre.
There are a few familiar faces amongst the cast Eileen Davidson from ‘Days
of our Lives’ and Harley Jane Kozak and the rest of the cast are very good
too, with the exception of Jodi Draigie as Morgan who is about as
convincing as Dick Van Dyke’s cockney accent in ‘Mary Poppins’. Yes she
is possibly the worst actress I have ever seen in a horror movie!!
The scares are good, the chase scenes are suspenseful thanks to Richard
Band’s orchestral score and the deaths are quite bloody too.
OVERALL SUMMARY
If you are a big fan of the slasher hey-day and you haven’t seen this yet
then you need to NOW!!
