The latest film in the Puppet Master series was apparently made as a thank you to everyone who has made the series a success, and the fans of course. However, I feel that the fans might have appreciated a new film better as this is essentially one extended 30 minute scene, spliced with 40 minutes of flashbacks from previous entries.
There isn’t much that I can really say about this film. It was an okay way to spend an hour, but I had seen it all before and the new footage whilst being competently shot and well lit, was pathetic, along with some of the acting.
True fans of the series will be glad to see glimpses of the puppets but that’s about it.
OVERALL SUMMARY
I might have been pissed off if I was expecting a new film and had paid a fortune to see it, but I knew what to expect and saw it for free, so it was okay I guess. The main flaw was the shoddy intro that cuts in partway through the excellent theme tune and the fact that there are no end credits!
