Danny Draven’s fourth feature film saw him team up with master of horror Stuart Gordon for this tale of a children’s illustrator who becomes disturbingly obsessed with an antique bed she finds in her new loft apartment.
As with all of Draven’s films, Deathbed is well shot, highly aesthetically pleasing, excellently edited and features a strong performance from Tanya Dempsey.
The film is simplistic yet never dull, always offering plenty to look at and has some good jump scenes and disturbing imagery too.
The cast are good and the story is quite different to what you would normally find in the genre.
OVERALL SUMMARY
Another fine piece of work from a fine director. Danny Draven is definitely one to watch as his career continues at a frantic pace.
