Director Brad Sykes revisits some of the locations found in his cult ‘Camp Blood’ movies for this Zombie anthology that sees Tara Woodley, a reporter looking for a small desert town in order to cover the town’s ghostly history, told what sound like tall tales when she runs into local bum Ebenezer Jackson, before finding out that the stories may indeed be true.
The film which consists of two stories and a wraparound tale, is enjoyable thanks to a good cast which includes Janet Keijser of the excellent ‘The Halfway House’, and Garret Clancy. Special effects technician Joe Castro helps the proceedings a great deal thanks to his zombie make-ups, and also helps out by putting in a rare acting appearance to boot.
The stories are well written with a few surprises along the way, but it’s really all about the blood and boobies.
If you enjoy the film enough to watch it a second time, you might want to try watching it with a pair of 3-D glasses as I hear it ‘adds another dimension’ if you get my drift!!
If you enjoy this, look out for more similar titles being released here in the UK by the Hard Gore label.
