Plot Summary:
"In this sequel of the first Jack Frost movie, Sheriff Sam Tiler, his wife Anne, and Sam's two deputies (also husband and wife) decide to go on a Caribbean vacation to take their minds off the traumatic events of the previous movie in a place with absolutely no snow. Their holiday will be short-lived, however, as the thawed murderer gets inadvertantly re-frozen and brought back to life. As if that weren't bad enough, he now has the ability to remain frozen even in tropical temperatures, and he's headed south to settle some old scores."

One year after the murders in Snowmonton, Sam and Anne head off to a tropical island for Joe and Marla's wedding. Glad to be somewhere snow free for Christmas the friends hope to have a wonderful holiday but Jack Frost is back and he has some new powers.

This sequel to the cult hit which is obviously inspired by 'Critters', manages to be clever whilst pretending to be dumb for fans of the original, by that I mean that Michael Cooney has really thought about his script, and therefore when characters do stupid things, it ends up being a clever joke.

Aesthetically, this film looks sharper but I felt that it made it look cheaper than the original. The cast all have fun with the material and it is far gorier and contains more nudity than the first film.

By films end I had pretty much decided that the first film is my favourite, but I still had fun watching this.

Not an amazing film but Michael Cooney's intelligence shines through. I'm glad that he is now making big budget films.
