Yet another low budget movie from The Asylum, but they seem to be getting worse instead of better.
This time it’s a group of friends who are abducted by Aliens only to have lead girl Jean awake in a secret government hospital where those who have been ‘taken’ are forced to commit a series of tests in order to see if they shall ‘serve their country’ or be brainwashed to forget what has happened to them.
The majority of the cast are annoying but it does boast a likeable lead and I don’t know what casting were thinking when they opted to give Jilhon Ghai a supporting part over some of the ‘actors’ who were in lead roles, as he was definitely the best actor in this, despite having to spout truly awful dialogue.
It may sound as though I am bashing this movie but it’s actually one of the more enjoyable titles from The Asylum. If only they would focus more on content rather than style they would fare much better, but who am I kidding? As long as there are schmoes like you and I renting their movies they’re going to keep doing things in the same fashion under the ‘if it ain’t broken don’t fix it motto’.
OVERALL SUMMARY
If you like b-movies that look glossy and have loadsa boobs in ’em then you’ll most likely find something to enjoy here.
