When a sculptor, a model, a photographer and a doll collector are invited to a remote mansion house to pose for a talented doll maker to make dolls that resemble them, a set of creepy events are set in motion that will lead to the discovery of an ancient grudge.
This film was not as heavily promoted as some of the more well known J – horror movies, yet it received largely positive reviews nonetheless.
The setting, and of course the dolls, are very eerie and the storyline preys on a fear that most of us had as kids, (do my toys have thoughts and feelings and do they come to life when I sleep at night?)
The cast are good here as is the story for the most part, although it does get a little overly complicated towards the finale.
OVERALL SUMMARY
In all, this is a good creepy little movie that actually put emphasis on something other than water and long black hair, although the hair can still be found here.
