Scarred starts out well enough for a no budget horror flick, but it quickly falls into the trap of taking itself far too seriously.
When a father takes his new wife and his two kids from his previous marriage along with his daughter’s friend on a camping trip, he hopes they will bond. Instead, the kids go off and do their own thing which includes drinking and necking with each other/the locals.
The no name cast act their little hearts out but all the wrong people die and the villain is unconvincing, as are the poor attempts at fighting back. If you were a healthy young guy and Leatherface’s sister was battering your knees with pebbles, would you kick her square in the pus or cry like a girl and then drag yourself around the bushes for the entire remainder of the film?
OVERALL SUMMARY
It’s not the worst film I’ve seen but it’s not the best either.
