This sequel to the surprisingly enjoyable first film didn’t live up to my expectations despite an impressive cast, as it was too comical for my liking.
The sequel places its protagonists in jeopardy by setting up a co-ed contest which sees Sam and his buddies attempt to sleep with as many sexy young girls by the end of the semester as possible. Strangely enough, the boys seem to be luckier with women than they ever expected, that is until Sam realizes that these chicks are aliens in search of eager young males to help them continue their race through breeding.
The cast is excellent here. Corey Sevier returns, as does Kim Poirier and the duo are joined by Tyler Johnston (Supernatural), Sam Easton (FD3), Dina Meyer (Saw) and Jigsaw himself, Tobin Bell (Saw).
The film looks great thanks to lush Canadian locations, beautiful cinematography and its highly photogenic cast, but its all surface and style with no depth.
OVERALL SUMMARY
This is fine for a rainy evening but it’s not as much fun as the first film.
