Monica Keena and her breasts star in this film which follows Celia (Keena) as she heads out to celebrate her 21st birthday at a frat party with best friend/roommate Justine (my future wife Jessica Stroup). Celia is drugged and gang raped by jocks and the date rape drug causes her to die. She awakens out of body and is confronted by her guardian angel Donovan (David Anders) and a pack of vicious demons. Celia learns that she will either spend eternity in Heaven or Hell but she has to decide who to trust first. With two hours to go until her fate is sealed, she must try and figure out if the ghosts of her estranged family are there to help or hinder her chances.
The film looks excellent and has a great cast of familiar faces from Keena (Freddy vs. Jason) to Stroup (The Hills Have Eyes II) to David ‘Alias’ Anders. Steven R. Monroe is a dab hand at this kind of thing with previous credits on his resume including House of 9 starring Kelly Brook and her breasts and It Waits starring Cerina Vincent and her breasts. He’s also recently worked with Chelan Simmons and Mimi Rogers…mmm…do you think he might be a fan of breasts?
In all seriousness though, the film is pleasantly enjoyable despite the fact that it features some very grim subject matter and is ultimately pretty sad.
OVERALL SUMMARY
The cast do great jobs and the film has the right amount of everything to satisfy horror fans. If you don’t expect too much of it and you don’t mind a downbeat ending you should have fun with this.
