Those of you unfortunate enough to have seen Eddie Murphy in Norbit may recall a line where Terry Crews says ‘you hurt my sister and I’m coming after you with razor blades and lemon juice’ or words to that effect. Well now you can see what that’s like but with a bic razor and tobasco sauce followed by salt.
Goregoyles 2 is a sequel to an underground cult horror anthology which features two horror tales introduced by some crazy dude. The first tale, Clean follows serial killer Crane, as he joins a group of demented men who meet up regularly to torture and kill women in an abandoned factory unit, but their latest member ends up going kill crazy and turning on his own kind.
This first segment by Alex Michaud showcases good old fashioned (and impressive) effects work and is particularly grisly too, so gore hounds will enjoy this for sure. It was similar in both visual style and tone to Ryan Nicholson’s recent Live Feed, but I enjoyed it more (if you can enjoy such a thing!)
The second segment of this film is entitled The Walkers and features a couple who are on the run having just robbed a bank. The pair ditches their car and hides out in the woods in an attempt to escape the two cops tailing them. Both duos end up lost in the woods for days and the Walkers eventually resort to cannibalism.
Director Miles Finlayson presents an enjoyable film that looks good and has a good cast of familiar low budget horror faces which includes Brett Kelly.
OVERALL SUMMARY
In all, Goregoyles 2 has something for everyone thanks to the inclusion of two very different tales.
