This third film in the Night of the Demon’s series sees a group of teens trapped in the infamous Hull House after an altercation at a gas station sees them forced into hiding from the cops.
Amelia Kinkade is back as Angela and has some great one liners here. It always makes me laugh when I watch one of these movies, as she was a dancer by trade so I always assume that part of her contract stated that there had to be a dance sequence in the film.
The cast which includes a Jason Patrick look-alike do fine and the film actually ends up being a lot of gory fun.
Although many fans argue that this feels like a totally unrelated film, I thought it was great fun and welcomed the witty quips from Angela, such as the moment she is blasted in the head with a shotgun only to apologise for being ‘such a scatter brain lately’ or my personal favourite, which sees former Joydrop frontwoman and recent Rock Star: INXS contestant Tara Sloane inform the gruesome hostess that one of the unwitting guests has turned into a demonic cat only to be answered with the hilarious ‘so what you walking sperm receptacle, you’re a snake’. Hahaha, how can you not love this shit?
OVERALL SUMMARY
It has to be said, in years gone by when I still had a life and horror did not consume my every waking hour, I actually saw this series in reverse order, so I guess that this one feels like the first film to me and that’s why it’s one of my favourite guilty pleasures.
