Jurassic Park 4 Back in Motion But Pushed Back to 2015

Last month Universal bought us the sad news that 'Jurassic Park 4' had been put on hold due to script and schedule issues. But it appears that they've quickly pulled their finger out to get the project back in motion. Originally the sequel was already sitting in a 13 June 2014 release slot which in terms of production is right around the corner so it comes as no surprise to see that Universal have now shoved it to a undetermined 2015 release date, though likely early Summer time. Colin Trevorrow ('Safety Not Guaranteed') is still set to direct and the project unsurprisingly will be shot in 3D. Amanda Silver, Rick Jaffa, Derek Connolly and Trevorrow himself have all worked on the script to date but it's not too clear if anyone else will be bought in to tidy it up....

A new 'Godzilla' banner has been snapped at this month's Licensing Expo in Las Vegas which runs through until tomorrow. The banner coincidentally features some post-lizard destruction from the oversized beast, now whether this image is relevant to the movie itself or has been created to tie-in with the Expo's location we're not too sure. The Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures production stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson ('Kick-Ass 2'), Elizabeth Olsen ('Silent House'), Bryan Cranston ('Breaking Bad'), Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins ('Made in Dagenham'), David Strathairn ('Lincoln'), Ken Watanabe ('Inception') and Richard T. Jones ('Event Horizon') and is directed by Brit helmer Gareth Edwards ('Monsters'). Thanks to Shock Till You Drop for spotting the new artwork....

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For Release Shifts Back to August 2014

I can't say we're too surprised by this news. As hard working as Robert Rodriguez ('Machete Kills') is the long-awaited 'Sin City' sequel 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' is most definitely not a project to be rushed to screens. And this appears to be the case for the comic book feature follow-up which has just been pushed back from its originally slated 4 October 2013 release all the way to August 22 2014. Rumour has it that it has something to do with the effects work on the project but no official reason has been given so far. But just think when this rolls around how exciting it'll be to finally feast our eyes upon it. Even just for the overly-impressive cast sheet that includes Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levit ('Looper'), Mickey Rourke, Jamie Chung, Eva Green, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Jessica Alba (below), Crystal McCahill, Dennis Haysbert, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven, Juno Temple and Alexa Vega....

They're out of this world, out of control and out to get you...at least according to the new and extremely early piece of teaser artwork for 'Cute Little Buggers'. Walker, Dani Thompson, Jess Jantschek, Samar Sarila, Jo Price, Sarah Bennett and Leslie Grantham and it'll land in UK theatres from 1 June 2014....

Go Behind the Scenes on the Set of Curse of Chucky

Over the weekend there were some online whispers that Don Mancini's 'Curse of Chucky' had received an official home release date for DVD and Blu-ray as well as VOD. The rumour was quickly put to bed by distributor Universal Home Entertainment and so the announcement of its 24 September release direct from Jennifer Tilly's ('Bride of Chucky') Twitter account is not quite accurate. No official release has been confirmed but it should be around this Autumn/Fall time. However, a batch of new behind the scenes stills were posted on Tilly and Mancini's online feeds and these are thankfully genuine. The sixth installment in the franchise sees Brad Dourif return to voice Chucky and he is joined by his acting daughter Fiona Dourif, A Martinez ('General Hospital'), Danielle Bisutti ('Insidious: Chapter 2') and Brennan Elliott ('Flight 93').
