'A MONSTER CALLS' FOR GORGEOUS BRITISH ACTRESS FELICITY JONES

Posted: 24 April, 2014 at 11:34 AM GMT
'A Monster Calls' for Gorgeous British Actress Felicity Jones

Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona ('The Orphanage') is lining up his newest directorial project which we already know to be an adaptation of 'A Monster Calls', a children’s fantasy novel by British author Patrick Ness. It's not scheduled to hit theatres until 14 October 2016 so a lot can happen in the meantime but it's the beautiful Brit actress Felicity Jones -below ('The Amazing Spider-Man 2') who has stepped up first to lend her acting skillset to the cast list according to the folks over at Deadline. Cutie Jones will play the role of Mum. Liam Neeson ('Taken') is also currently being tapped up for the role of the 'monster'. The fantasy project will no doubt involve a lot of production particularly in the FX department so that may have a lot to do with the way off release date. It may also be taking into account some pre-production work which may have to be carried out by the director on his other genre project - zombie sequel 'World War Z 2'.

Brat Pitt and Brett Ratner Team up for '3 Videotapes'

Described as "an elevated thriller with aspects of 'The Ring' and 'Memento'" is that of new upcoming horror feature '3 Videotapes'. The project will bring together a trio of production companies, a couple of which are headed by notable industry names. Brett Ratner's RatPac Entertainment, Brad Pitt's Plan B and New Regency have all joined forces to pick up the pitched idea from Ian McCulloch. Little else in known about the project at the moment but let's hope this isn't simply a bigger budgeted 'V/H/S' rip-off.

'V/H/S' HELMER DAVID BRUCKNER SET FOR NEW 'FRIDAY THE 13TH' MOVIE?

Posted: 16 April, 2014 at 12:28 PM GMT
'V/H/S' Helmer David Bruckner Set for New 'Friday the 13th' Movie?

With less than a year until the supposed release of a brand new 'Friday the 13th' movie you would think it was prudent to lock in your director!? Thankfully it seems this may now be the case as 'V/H/S' director David Bruckner looks to be the man to take on the job. The Wrap are reporting that Bruckner, the guy responsible for the "Amateur Night" segment in 2012's horror anthology 'V/H/S', is being tapped to fill the void for the new 'Friday the 13th' feature. Although it's not yet clear as to how this new project will tie in to the franchise and whether it'll be remotely connected to that of Marcus Nispel's 2009 remake. Platinum Dunes will produce.

New Teaser Poster for 'Leprechaun: Origins' Brings Gold

It's time to do a little jig and celebrate the fact that the first official teaser one-sheet for Zach Lipovsky's 'Leprechaun: Origins' has been uncovered. Whether of not the franchise needs rebooting is a question that seems to have been answered positively by Lionsgate along with WWE Studios whom have teamed up to bring us this new look version which is said to be "darker and a more traditional horror." Warwick Davis ('Life's Too Short'), whom was fitted out in the fetching green attire for 6 of the previous installments, has been looked over this time around in favour of WWE's own Hornswoggle Dylan Postl. Brendan Fletcher, Teach Grant, Andrew Dunbar, Stephanie Bennett, Bruce Blain and Adam Boys also star. Check out the new poster below.

SCARLETT JOHANSSON DISCUSSES 'UNDER THE SKIN' IN FEATURETTE

Scarlett Johansson Discusses 'Under the Skin' in Featurette

Earlier this month Jonathan Glazer’s new sci-fi thriller 'Under the Skin' arrived in US theatres and took audiences on a wild ride filled with unusualness, artiness, visual metaphor and with little Kubrikesque touches all along the way. And not forgetting an impressive turn out from the sexy Scarlett Johansson ('The Avengers') who certainly gives her all, including some full frontal nudity, in her performance. If you haven't yet seen the movie then perhaps this little featurette that includes interview excerpts with Johansson, director Glazer and producer James Wilson as well as plenty of footage from the project will help entice you further. But if the promise of Johansson flesh didn't already get yout attention then we don't know what will. Check out the featurette below.
