Jessy Schram Joins 'Lizzie Borden: The Fall River Chronicles'

Picking up where the movie left off is Lifetime's continuing tale of the notorious Lizzie Borden. With Christina Ricci back in the title role for 'Lizzie Borden: The Fall River Chronicles', two new cast members have signed up for roles in the upcoming series. Jessy Schram -below ('Falling Skies') joins the show to take on the role of dancer Nancy O'Keefe whilst veteran star Jonathan Banks ('Breaking Bad', 'Community') joins the cast as Lizzie's business associate Mr. Flowers, who happens to also be a prostitution ringleader and extortionist.

NEW ALTERNATIVE 'V/H/S VIRAL' POSTER UNVEILED

New Alternative 'V/H/S Viral' Poster Unveiled

'V/H/S: Viral' arrives in theatres tomorrow for those who've not yet caught it on VOD and hot on its heels is this latest alternative look poster for the anthology threequel. It's been kicking around On Demand for a little while now and this new poster arrives based around the Marcel Sarmiento helmed wrap-around segment entitled 'Vicious Circles'. It comes courtesy of Magnet Releasing who'll be unleashing the third installment in the franchise into US theatres this Friday. Filmmakers Todd Lincoln ('The Apparition'), Nacho Vigalondo ('Open Windows'), Gregg Bishop ('The Other Side'), Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead ('Resolution') are also on board with their efforts.

The Bram Stoker 2014 International Film Festival Retrospective

Whitby’s annual horrorfest had British horror well-represented this year, starting with Judas Ghost (2013), written by author Simon R. Green, is a Brit psychological horror set in a claustrophobic village school hall where schoolchildren have been in hysterics for no reason. An elite team of ghost hunters,with the no-nonsense motto: “take no shit from the supernatural”, move in to film everything that goes bump in the night and get dispel it as needed. The cinema verite style is interspersed with flashbacks of the team's previous successes with various previous cases types, such as the poltergeist and “beast”.

Tom Freeman (AKA 'Freematik') is the man behind the latest in an immersive comic book experience. 'Dark Moon' on the face of it may just be another thrilling sci-fi yarn but adding an extra dimension. Drawn, composed and lovingly pieced together by creator Freematik, 'Dark Moon' is a combination of both his love for music and comics which are unified in this unique way and which is now available for you to buy! "I've always been somewhat obsessed with the combination of sound and images to create a powerful visceral sensation" says Freematik. The initial 'Dark Moon' series is a 4-part experience, with each part having a comic, soundtrack, as well as the "Motion Book" version. It can be read just like a traditional comic, but has been designed to be listened to with a soundtrack, which is provided with purchase and which is also available to stream online.

Premiere Entertainment Nabs Sales Rights To 'Dark Was The Night'

Premiere Entertainment Group has acquired the foreign sales rights for Caliber Media’s DARK WAS THE NIGHT directed by Jack Heller. The film premiered last week at ScreamFest in Los Angeles, winning Best Visual Effects and Best Special Effects, and will have its East Coast premiere on November 1st at the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s Scary Movies, New York’s top genre film festival.

New 'Ex Machina' Trailer Releases Some Slick Looking Science Fiction

Just yesterday the international poster for screenwriter turned director Alex Garland's ('28 Days Later', 'Sunshine') new British psychological thriller 'Ex Machina' arrived. It was the typical teaser to raise awareness of the brand new official trailer that would be arriving a mere 24 hours later. The movie stars Alicia Vikander, Oscar Isaac ('Sucker Punch') and Domhnall Gleeson ('Star Wars: Episode VII') and is heading into UK theatres early next year. In addition to the trailer release A24 picked up the US rights to the movie and will distribute it throughout theatres from 10 April 2015. Anchor Bay Picks up Jaclyn Swedberg in 'Muck'

Indie slasher 'Muck', from first time director Steve Wolsh, has been picked up by Anchor Bay Entertainment. Anchor Bay have acquired the North American rights to the project which will have no trouble at all slotting nicely right into the low-budget survival slasher pigeon hole. And wherever there's blood and jocularity there's certain to be an assemblage of hotties. 'Muck' stars the ass-smackingly hot 2012 Playmate of the Year Jaclyn Swedberg (below), Miss Cape Cod 2012 and 2013 Ashley Green Elizabeth and Audra Van Hees respectively, model Gia Skova, Stephanie Danielson, Leila Knight and Puja Mohindra, Lachlan Buchanan, Laura Jacobs, Victoria Sophia, and Lauren Francesca. Horror icon Kane Hodder ('2001 Maniacs') is also on board to entertain the ladies.

New 'Ex Machina' Posters Revealed Ahead of Trailer Premiere

The first new international poster for upcoming British psychological thriller 'Ex Machina' has been released. Both a one-sheet and quad version of the poster have arrived featuring gorgeous Swede actress Alicia Vikander. Vikander stars as a beautiful robot woman named Ava in this the directorial debut from British screenwriter Alex Garland ('28 Days Later', 'Sunshine'). The two new pieces of artwork come one day ahead of the anticipated release of the official international trailer for the movie which will arrive tomorrow at 1:00pm GMT. Garland directs from his own script and 'Ex Machina' also stars Oscar Isaac ('Sucker Punch') and Domhnall Gleeson ('Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2') who both interestly have roles in J.J. Abrams forthcoming 'Star Wars: Episode VII'.

Image Entertainment, an RLJ Entertainment brand, has acquired all U.S. rights to the highly anticipated fantasy film DIGGING UP THE MARROW. Starring, written and directed by Adam Green and inspired by the artwork of artist Alex Pardee, the film stars Ray Wise (Twin Peaks, X-Men First Class), Will Barratt (Frozen), and a roster full of horror genre favorites and iconic artists all appearing as themselves.
