According to sources it looks like we may be experiencing more bumps in the night as the long 'in development' remake of Tobe Hooper and Steven Spielberg's classic 80's horror tale 'Poltergeist' starts edging closer to an actual production. Deadline are reporting that British born 'City of Ember' director Gil Kenan (below) is set to pick up the reigns of the remake and has attached himself to helm the project. Kenan was the man behind 2006's animated fantasy movie 'Monster House' so he knows all about what makes a creepy-assed homestead. Only a few months back rumour had it that directing giant Sam Raimi ('Oz: The Great and Powerful') was eyeing the role but will officially be concentrating only on being involved in a producing capacity.
