Horror or not, with us being huge Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright fans here at the Asylum and with a snifter of apocalyptic-based giggles assured we’ll continue to cover the trios newest collaboration ‘The World’s End’. A new image has arrived from the the final installment in the talented guys ‘Three Flavours Cornetto’ trilogy which also includes the excellent horror comedy ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and action crime comedy ‘Hot Fuzz’. The new still features Pegg, Frost and co-stars Paddy Considine (‘Dead Man’s Shoes’), Eddie Marsan (‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’) and Martin Freeman (‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’). Sexy Brit Rosamund Pike (‘Jack Reacher’) also stars. Check out the new still below.
“20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell-bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.”
‘The World’s End’ opens in UK theatres on 14 August and on 23 August in the US.
