A teasing teaser teaser has been teased by the teasing team over at Entertainment Tonight for Kimberly Peirce’s new ‘Carrie’ remake. ET previewed the little sneak peek at the trailer which will arrive later today in it’s full length courtesy of Sony. Piggybacking off the excitement building for the soon to open ‘Evil Dead’, also from Sony, the studio must be hoping to soak up some of that willing horror love out there for it’s readaptation of Stephen King’s classic story. The talented Chloe Moretz (‘Dark Shadows’) hops into Carrie’s shoes dealing with all the tormented youngsters angst and twisted high school experiences whilst Julianne Moore (‘Hannibal’) plays Mrs White. The flick won’t arrive until this October but you can peek at the trailer tease below and hopefully later on we’ll have the full version for you to check out. Portia Doubleday (‘Youth in Revolt’), Alex Russell (‘Chronicle’), Ansel Elgort, Judy Greer (‘The Village’) and hottie Gabriella Wilde also star.
“The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White and her daughter Carrie. Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson, but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell, regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross, to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.”
‘Carrie’ opens on 18th October 2013.
