Even though originally a couple of months back we should have been feasting on Stuart Beattie’s ‘I, Frankenstein’ the feature adaptation of the cult Kevin Grievoux graphic novel has now been bumped back all the way to 24 January 2014. After it was dropped from its February 2013 release it was rescheduled to show up this September but now all thanks to its slow moving 3D post-conversion the Lionsgate production will have to wait to the theatrical equivalent of a Floridian retirement complex, where genre movies go to die. Aaron Eckhart (‘The Dark Knight’), Bill Nighy (‘Shaun of the Dead’), Aden Young, Socratis Otto (‘Gone’), Miranda Otto (‘Locke & Key’) and gorgeous ‘Dexter’ star Yvonne Strahovski (below) all star.
“Set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power, Victor Frankenstein’s creation Adam (Aaron Eckhart) finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality.”
