Another British star is being lined up to join Universal’s latest ‘Dracula’ project. Dominic Cooper (‘Captain America: The First Avenger’) is in negotiations for a role in the new retelling of the legendary blood suckers life preceding his vampiristic beginnings. Luke Evans, who just recently scored the lead in F. Javier Gutiérrez’s remake of ‘The Crow’, will be portraying Prince Vlad/Dracula whilst Sarah Gadon (‘Cosmopolis’) will play Vlad’s wife. Gary Shore will direct from a script provided by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Cooper (below) of course appeared himself as a vampire in last year’s action-filled historical horror ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’.
‘Dracula’ is due for release in the US from 8 August 2014.
