Following up from the new UK quad revealed yesterday by Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg (‘Star Trek into Darkness’) and Nick Frost over on Twitter we’ve caught sight of the new US one-sheet for ‘The World’s End’. The new poster shown below combines elements from the previous two quads we’ve seen but does include the tagline ‘Barmageddon Begins’. This final installment in the ‘Three Flavours Cornetto’ trilogy hits the US on 23 August. UK-ers, however, will be able to enjoy it much sooner from 19 July. Pegg, Frost, Paddy Considine (‘Dead Man’s Shoes’), Eddie Marsan (‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’), Martin Freeman (‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’) and Rosamund Pike (‘Jack Reacher’) all star.
“20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell-bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.”
‘The World’s End’ opens in UK theatres on 19 July and on 23 August over in the US.
