Bryan Singer’s ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ is shaping up to be one of the big hitters next Summer and another new fresh faced member of the team has tacked himself on to the cast list. The director has revealed on Twitter that the character Quicksilver has been added and that ‘American Horror Story’ star Evan Peters has been cast in the role. The news is quite surprising particularly as Joss Whedon recently announced that Quicksilver, the mutant offspring of Magento (played by Michael Fassbender), would in fact be part of the line-up for his upcoming sequel to ‘The Avengers’. The time-travelling ‘X-Men’ sequel features a whole host of returning franchise stars that include Hugh Jackman (‘Les Miserables’), Nicholas Hoult (‘Warm Bodies’), Ian McKellen (‘The Hobbit’), Jennifer Lawrence (‘House at the End of the Street’), James McAvoy (‘Wanted’), Patrick Stewart, Anna Paquin (‘True Blood’), Ellen Page (‘Inception’), Shawn Ashmore and Halle Berry (‘Gothika’).
In addition to the casting tweet Singer also posted a sexy new and blue pic of actress Jennifer Lawrence in make-up as the young Mystique which you can check out below.
“The X-Men must travel in time to change a major historical event that could globally impact on man and mutant kind.”
‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ hits theatres everywhere on 18th July 2014.
