Not quite Nazi-zombies but definitely keeping one toe dipped in the sub genre is writer/director Richard Raaphorst’s ‘Frankenstein’s Army’. Taking a leaf out of the legendary Victor Frankenstein’s notebook a group of Nazi scientists have been piecing together an army of monsters from the remains of their slaughtered troops. A new UK quad poster for the feature has come to light featuring a horde of gruesome looking soldiers which you can check out below. Karel Roden (‘Hellboy’) stars as Victor and is joined by Joshua Sasse, Robert Gwilym, Alexander Mercury, Luke Newberry, Hon Ping Tang, Andrei Zayats, Mark Stevenson, Cristina Catalina, Jan de Lukowicz, Zdenek Barinka
“Toward the end of World War II, Russian soldiers pushing into eastern Germany stumble across a secret Nazi lab, one that has unearthed and begun experimenting with the journal of one Dr. Victor Frankenstein. The scientists have used the legendary Frankenstein’s work to assemble an army of super-soldiers stitched together from the body parts of their fallen comrades — a desperate Hitler’s last ghastly ploy to escape defeat.”
‘Frankenstein’s Army’ will hit select cities from 26 July.
