Three new characters are set to join the second season of A&E’s excellent ‘Bates Motel’ series and will sidle up next to more dramatic and twisted performances from the returning Vera Farmiga -below (‘Source Code’, ‘Orphan’) and Freddie Highmore (‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’). Casting has begun to find their new trio which includes George, a recently divorced charmer in his late 40s, Christine, a local socialite in her late 30s who becomes Norma’s first real friend and Caleb, Norma’s estranged fortysomething brother who comes to town to coax his sister into investing in his new busines venture. ‘Bates Motel’ will arrive at Comic Con this coming Saturday. Max Thieriot (‘House at the End of the Street’), Nestor Carbonell (‘Lost’), Olivia Cooke (‘The Quiet Ones’) and Nicola Peltz also return.
“Following the tragic death of her husband, Norma Bates buys a motel on the outskirts of the idyllic coastal town of White Pine Bay, seeking a fresh start.
