When I think of casino movies my mind automatically springs to the likes of ‘Oceans 11’ or ‘Casino Royale’ – but The Haunted Casino is a different kind of movie! If you’ve been inspired by these types of films and want to try some casino for yourself, then click to visit this brand. We can see why basing a horror movie in a casino might work – there is bound to be some interesting goings-on to latch on to – but the Haunted Casino didn’t impress too much! The name in itself seems pretty unimaginative and the movie is at times quite tiresome.
It’s a B type DVD and it is directed by Charles Band. The cast members include Kristyn Green, Wes Armstrong and Michael Berryman. With a running time of just 75 minutes you would expect the action to kick off straight away – but it does take a while to get interesting. It’s about a man (Matthew Dragna) who inherits a casino from his uncle. Along with his girlfriend and his friends – he pays it a visit to see what can be done with it. Once they arrive they discover that although it has seen better days it isn’t in hopeless condition. What they do discover is that they are in a gamble for their lives (literally) as they encounter all kinds of spooks that are haunting the premises as not only do they want to get their hand’s on the deceased uncles possessions – the casino owner was the one that killed them.
As you can see the plot isn’t great and according to the popular review site Rotten Tomatoes it has only got 2 out of 5 stars. It’s been released more than once with different titles. Previous names have been: “Casino of the Damned” and “Dead Man’s Hand”. Is it the worst horror movie ever? Probably not – but that’s not to say it’s a great watch either! If you ask us we would rather stick to the classic casino movies out there with a much better storyline.
