Labelled the new ‘Basic Instinct’ and spawn of ‘Seven’ Nathan Hill has been compared to David Fincher’s style of direction for his new thriller feature ‘Model Behaviour’. Originally set in the city of Los Angeles, Hill’s challenge was to down scale the production and shoot a convincing story set in his hometown of Melbourne, Australia. The film has already won Gold at the California Film Awards, and following this it went on to win Best Supporting Actress (for Samira Amira) and Runner-Up Best Film at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival. Hill plays one of the leading characters alongside the insanely gorgeous Australian Sport and Fitness model Stacey McMahon (below) and an exciting and very attractive cast of actresses including African talent Samira Amira, Maltese beauty Jennifer Apap, gorgeous Aussie favourite Kahli Williams and a host of others. Head below to check out the trailer.
The film has been recognized for its multiculturalism, which has become a benchmark for Hill films of late. Capped off with a brilliant theme song ‘Dying to be Seen’ performed by Jeff Miller, this movie is definitely a step up from Hill’s previous works and it is clear he has taken a new direction in his genre and style of movies. Hill has mentioned in various interviews that he began making horror films because they were a financially viable way to make a start in the business, but that his heart really lies in action and thriller type movies.
“Jordan Rhodes is an honest detective investigating the heinous murder of a leading talent agent. As he delves into a melting pot of beauty, ego and violence, the stakes are raised when the killer distributes horrific crime scene photographs to the press, thrusting a reluctant Jordan into the spotlight in a city where everybody wants to be famous. Suspicion is immediately thrown onto statuesque model Alexis Clarke, an up-and-coming beauty with a blunt tongue and desire for success. But in an industry where everybody wants to get ahead, everyone has a motive and everyone is a suspect. As young models begin to fall victim to appalling deaths, Jordan discovers that no-one, not even himself, is demonstrating model behaviour. He must deal with mounting public pressure and consider the unique possibility that the serial killer he hunts is not only female, but also has an ultimate goal – infamy. But how far will they go to achieve it? And how far will Jordan go to stop it?”
