The latest poster for 20th Century Fox’s ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ has been unveiled featuring a not so happy little monkey. Lead simian Caesar, to be played once more by motion capture genius Andy Serkis (‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’), takes centre stage on the latest one-sheet. This comes just a day after the announcement that the intended July 2014 release date has been bought forward a week to 11 July. Jason Clarke (‘Zero Dark Thirty’), Gary Oldman (‘Bram Stoker’s Dracula’), Keri Russell (‘Dark Skies’), Toby Kebbell (‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’), Kodi Smit-McPhee (‘ParaNorman’), Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo (‘Fringe’) and Judy Greer all star in the upcoming sequel. Check out the new one-sheet below.
“A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.”
‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ will open on 11 July 2014.
