Stunning ‘Game of Thrones’ star Emilia Clarke (below) has beaten off the competition to officially land the role of Sarah Connor in the upcoming sequelisation ‘Terminator: Genesis’. The 26-year old British actress who is better known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the hit HBO fantasy series has scored the part in the new installment which is being directed by Alan Taylor (‘Thor: The Dark World’). Clarke won the role ahead of Brie Larson (’21 Jump Street’) and Tatiana Maslany (‘Orphan Black’) whom also read for the part. Taylor has also directed a number of epsiodes of ‘Game of Thrones’ a fact which we’re sure helped give Clarke the upper hand.
‘Terminator: Genesis’ will open in theatres on 1 July 2015.
