Arriving next July slap bang in the middle of the season of Summer blockbusters is Matt Reeves’ ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’. The latest trailer from the sequel has arrived courtesy of 20th Century Fox featuring a look at stars Jason Clarke (‘Zero Dark Thirty’) and Gary Oldman (‘Bram Stoker’s Dracula’) in action as well as an angry looking Caesar, further bringing alive the original character teaser poster we revealed last week. Keri Russell (‘Dark Skies’), Toby Kebbell (‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’), Kodi Smit-McPhee (‘ParaNorman’), Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo (‘Fringe’) and Judy Greer all star whilst Andy Serkis (‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’) once more embodies the digitally created Caesar. Check the trailer below.
“A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.”
‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ opens on 11 July 2014.
