Warner Brothers have announced that James Wan’s horror follow-up ‘The Conjuring 2’ will be hitting theatres in October 2015. Of course more suited for the Halloween season it is more likely that the sequel has slipped into an Autumn/Fall release plan due to the heavy hitting Summer projects lined up next year – including sequels ‘Jurassic World’, ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ to name a few. Although project specifics are sparse at this time lead players Patrick Wilson (‘Watchmen’) and Vera Farmiga (‘Bates Motel’) are both back to reprise their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren. ‘The Conjuring 2’ will hit theatres on 23 October 2015.
Rumour did have it that ‘The Conjuring’ scribes Chad and Carey Hayes were working on a London based story which revolved around another of the Warren’s famous cases which involved two allegedly possessed sisters in Enfield, England.
