Another new behind the scenes still from Matt Reeves’ ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ features even more actors kitted out in their motion capture outfits including the excellent British actor Toby Kebbell (‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’). The image from Empire which is against the backdrop of what the guys are calling “Ape Village” features another couple of MoCap performers, one of which seems evolved enough to be holding a gun and looking to pass it over to Kebbell’s character Koba. The sequel also stars Andy Serkis (‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’), Jason Clarke (‘Zero Dark Thirty’), Gary Oldman (‘Bram Stoker’s Dracula’), Keri Russell (‘Dark Skies’) Kodi Smit-McPhee (‘ParaNorman’), Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo (‘Fringe’) and Judy Greer (‘Archer’). Check out the new still below.
“A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.”
‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ opens on 11 July 2014.
