A new trailer for Doug Liman's ('The Bourne Identity') upcoming time loop thriller 'Edge of Tomorrow' has been revealed by Warner Bros. Tom Cruise ('Jack Reacher') stars in the movie as a military officer who for the time being finds himself inexplicably repeating his day over and over again only to get killed before the day is out. On hand to assist is the always stunning Brit star Emily Blunt ('Looper') who plays Special Forces officer Rita Vrataski. Liman helms from an adapted script based on the original novel "All You Need Is Kill" by author Hiroshi Sakurazaka. The movie co-stars Bill Paxton ('Aliens'), Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Tony Way, Kick Gurry, Franz Drameh and Dragomir Mrsic. Head below to check out the new trailer.
"The epic action of Edge of Tomorrow unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to little more than a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop...forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy."
'Edge of Tomorrow' opens in UK theatres on 30 May and in the US on 6 June 2014.
