The official trailer for ‘[REC] 4: Apocalypse’ has hit the web. The new trailer for the Jaume Balaguero helmed sequel re-introduces us to TV reporter Angela Vidal running around like a possessed woman, as expected. This, the fourth installment, is the first non-found footage styled sequel (not counting the sideways sequel ‘[REC] Genesis’) in the franchise which sees series co-creator Balaguero solely handle the directorial duties. Spanish hottie Manuela Velasco returns for the third time as reporter Vidal who now finds herself quarantined on an old oil tanker after escaping the notorious apartment building featured in the first two movies. Check out the new trailer below.
“Angela Vidal, the young television reporter who entered the building with the fireman, manages to make it out alive. But what the soldiers don’t know is that she carries the seed of the strange infection. She is to be taken to a provisional quarantine facility, a high-security installation where she will have to stay in isolation for several days. An old oil tanker, miles off shore and surrounded by water on all sides, has been especially equipped for the quarantine.”
‘[REC] 4: Apocalypse’ opens in theaters in Spain this October.
