FX’s new viral vampire series ‘The Strain’ has received a rather disgusting new teaser poster. Those who suffer from Ommetaphobia will be most likely vomiting this morning after seeing this teaser featuring a victim suffering from a little eye trouble. The show comes from ‘Lost’s Carlton Cuse and ‘Pacific Rim’ director Guillermo del Toro, who will be taking the directorial reigns of the pilot episode. Del Toro co-wrote the pilot along with Regina Corrado based on the novel by American author Chuck Hogan. ‘The Strain’ stars Corey Stoll (‘House of Cards’), Sean Astin (‘Cabin Fever 3’), Kevin Durand (‘Lost’), Natalie Brown, Jonathan Hyde (‘The Mummy’), Richard Sammel, Robert Maillet, Jack Kesy, Ben Hyland, Miguel Gomez and gorgeous Argentine actress Mia Maestro. Check out the new poster below.
“The series tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself.”
