‘Wrong Turn’ and ‘Dollhouse’ star Eliza Dushku (below) has been spending most of her spare time currently hanging around an old abandoned insane asylum in Michigan. Not because she’s turned to an alternative career as an urban explorer but instead because she is part of director Robert Legato’s latest horror project ‘Eloise’. Based on the real-life psychiatric hospital still standing the 33-year old actress plays one of four friends who enter the asylum searching for a notable death certificate only to discover much more than they had bargained for. The shoot is taking place in the actual location which of course typcially comes complete with its own ‘ghost stories’. Actors Chace Crawford (‘Gossip Girl’), PJ Byrne (‘Final Destination 5’) and Brandon T. Jackson (‘Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters’) also star.
“Four friends break into the abandoned institution in hopes of finding a death certificate, which will provide Jacob (Crawford) with the rights to a sizable inheritance. While inside the asylum, the group not only finds that the institution houses a horrifying history but also the truth about their own tragic pasts. They’re shooting in the Eloise Insane Asylum which was one of the largest mental institutions in the world.”
