So what could possibly be better than the promise of a new genre offering starring Jessica Biel (‘The Tall Man’)? Well sprinkle in a little Imogen Poots (’28 Weeks Later’) and you’ve already doubled up the hotness does without even factoring in the ravishing stakes. The duo both star along with lead actor Patrick Wilson (‘Insidious Chapter 2’) and Toby Jones (‘Berberian Sound Studio’) in director Andy Goddard’s new upcoming psychological thriller ‘The Blunderer’. The story has been adapted by Susan Boyd from the novel of the same name penned by crime author Patricia Highsmith. Killer Films and Sierra Pictures will co-produce the project which will be making an appearance at this month’s Cannes Festival.
“Walter Stackhouse (Wilson), a successful architect married to the beautiful Clara (Biel) and leading a charmed and perfect life. But his fascination with an unsolved murder leads him into a spiral of chaos as he is forced to play cat-and-mouse with a clever killer (Jones) and an over-ambitious detective. Walter’s obsession, his lies and his lust for another woman (Poots) will collide in a crush of guilt, innocence and, ultimately, fate.”
