Nicole Kidman is having memory issues in writer/director Rowan Joffe’s (‘Brighton Rock’) new thriller ‘Before I Go to Sleep’. Adapted from the bestselling novel from British writer S J Watson the movie stars Kidman (below) as an amnesiac who wakes each morning without any memory of her life up to that point and eventually discovers that the man sleeping next to her is not actually her husband. Sounds like it’s somewhere between ‘Memento’ and ‘Faces in the Crowd’. StudioCanal have unveiled the latest trailer from the project whch you can view below. The project also stars Colin Firth (‘The King’s Speech’), Mark Strong (‘Kick-Ass’), and Jing Lusi (‘Clash of Empires’).
“A north London woman wakes up every morning remembering nothing. Her husband tells her she suffered a trauma, and that she dare not leave home. She sneaks off to a doctor who gives her a small digital recorder and urges her to play back her thoughts day after day in hopes of re-integrating her mind. She does. It works. And that’s when she comes to realize that the man sleeping next to her…is not her husband.”
