Arnold Schwarzenegger has unveiled the biggest news thus far from the forthcoming ‘Terminator’ sequel, by confirming the working title. There’s been plenty of speculation regarding the actual title which up to now we’ve been touting as ‘Terminator: Genesis’. Well it seems like we weren’t far off. According to Arnie’s recent Instagram post we can see that the big guy’s chair is labeled as ‘Terminator: Genisys’. Yup, it appears the subtitle has an alternative spelling and has already been getting some negative fan response. Personally I don’t see much wrong with it and as we’re not fully abreast of the plot details just yet who are we to suggest that ‘Genisys’ has no relative meaning? It could be a company relating to Cyberdyne or SkyNet, even possibly an early company name or project they were working on. So let’s just roll with it for now.
Here’s the text that accompanied the image:
“asta la vista, baby. I want to thank the cast and crew of @TerminatorGenisys for a fantastic shoot. It was challenging, it was fun, and it was rewarding. From our director to the producers, from the camera team to catering, from visual effects to hair and makeup – we couldn’t have done it without you. I can’t wait to see our finished project and I know we’ll remind the fans why they fell in love with the Terminator. On July 1, 2015, I’ll be back.”
‘Terminator: Genisys’ arrives in theatres on 1 July 2015.
