If the dramatisation of a famous young English novelist floats your boat then the upcoming Coky Giedroyc (‘The Killing’) directed project ‘Mary Shelley’s Monster’ will be high on your list of “movies to watch” in 2015. ‘Game of Thrones’ stunner Sophie Turner (below) has been cast in the title role in the project which follows the early life of the young writer during the time of her penning her seminal piece of work ‘Frankenstein’. With Turner on board it does seem like the perfect piece of casting. ‘American Horror Story’s Taissa Farmiga (below) will also star as Mary’s stepsister Claire Clairmont whilst ‘War Horse’ actor Jeremy Irvine will play Percy Shelley.
“Monster tracks the young Mary Shelley as she writes her seminal novel and is drawn into a Faustian bargain with her own ‘monster’ of an alter ego, who offers literary fame at a desperate personal cost.”
Filming is slated to begin later this year in the both the UK and Malta.
