Matthew Spradlin’s ‘Bad Kids Go to Hell’ is getting the sequel treatment with cast member Ben Browder (who portrayed Max in the original) heading behind the camera to tackle directorial duties. ‘Bad Kids Go 2 Hell’ in in pre-production and is based on the comic series created by both Spradlin and Barry Wernick. The project has just acquired two new cast members who are keeping it in the family. ‘Cabin Fever 3’ and ‘The Strain’ star Sean Astin has signed up for a role in the follow-up along with his daughter Alexandra Astin. The Astin’s will be joining the already cast Gina Gershon, Drake Bell, Sufe Bradshaw, ammi Hanratty, Colby Arps, Sophia Taylor Ali, Matthew Frias and Erika Daly.
“It’s four years later and a new group of students has been placed in Saturday detention at snooty Crestview Academy. After one of the kids locks away the teacher assigned to watch them, the five of them very quickly find their ranks dwindling as each meets a gruesome fate. They may make it out of the library, but with a new threat revealing itself around every hallway, is there enough time and resources for at least one of them to make it out alive?”
‘Bad Kids Go 2 Hell’ is expected to be released in the Summer of next year.
