The Shriekfest Film Festival, an international horror/sci-fi film and screenplay competition, has announced its 2014 lineup and is slated to screen the supernatural horror film Alice D. on Friday, October 3 at 7 p.m. The film will open the festival’s first night of features. The film, written and directed by Jessica Sonneborn, follows Joe, who after inheriting and fixing up an old mansion that used to be home to his great-grandfather’s brothel, decides to throw a wild party, despite the fact that the mansion is rumored to be haunted by a young prostitute who killed herself there in the 1890s. The cast includes Kane Hodder, who is known for playing Jason Voorhees in four films from the Friday the 13th series, in addition to Victor Crowley in Hatchet and the stunt man for Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III.
