Picking up where the movie left off is Lifetime’s continuing tale of the notorious Lizzie Borden. With Christina Ricci back in the title role for ‘Lizzie Borden: The Fall River Chronicles’, two new cast members have signed up for roles in the upcoming series. Jessy Schram -below (‘Falling Skies’) joins the show to take on the role of dancer Nancy O’Keefe whilst veteran star Jonathan Banks (‘Breaking Bad’, ‘Community’) joins the cast as Lizzie’s business associate Mr. Flowers, who happens to also be a prostitution ringleader and extortionist.
The new 6-part miniseries will follow on from the network’s recent one-off special ‘Lizzie Borden Took an Axe’ and will be a ficticious account of Lizzie’s life following her much publicised acquittal of double homicide of both her father and stepmother back in 1892. The show will also star Clea DuVall (‘The Grudge’), Cole Hauser, Bradley Stryker and Jeff Wincott.
‘Lizzie Borden: The Fall River Chronicles’ will premiere in 2015.
