Ryan Reynolds is really losing his sh#t in his upcoming project ‘The Voices’. Director Marjane Satrapi’s new comedy thriller sees Reynolds play the troubled character of Jerry Hickfang who begins hearing voices from his influential pets following an accidental death. The movie has been given an official UK release date which is set for a theatrical opening on 20 March 2015. ‘The Voices’ also stars Gemma Arterton (‘Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters’), Anna Kendrick (‘Up in the Air’) and Jacki Weaver. Whilst its the versatile Reynolds himself who provides the voices for on screen cat and dog duo Mr Whiskers and Bosco, Jerry’s evil furry foes.
“Jerry (Ryan Reynolds) works at a bathtub factory and attempts to walk the straight-and-narrow, in spite of his talking pet dog and cat trying to influence him. When he accidentally kills an attractive woman from accounting (Gemma Arterton), he hastily tries to cover his tracks. But Jerry is beyond the reach of his well-meaning psychiatrist Dr. Warren (Jacki Weaver) and Lisa (Anna Kendrick), the only woman he ever truly loved, and spirals into a world of violence where he ultimately finds salvation.”
‘The Voices’ will see an earlier outing into theatres throughout the US from 6 February 2015.
