Arriving in cinemas today is director Jeremy Wooding’s gun-slinging monster movie ‘Blood Moon’. It’s cowboys vs the wolfman in this bloody horror-western. Re-imaging the werewolf as the Native Americans’ mythical “skinwalker”, the film sees a stagecoach of passengers, gunslingers and outlaws terrorized by the bloodthirsty beast. With a great cast, fun prosthetic effects, it’s a true horror gem and we have an exclusive clip to share with you which you can check out below.
Taking the creature feature to the Old West, Blood Moon puts a new twist on the werewolf legend. And old school horror fans will love the prosthetic effects, which recall creature classics such as An American Werewolf in London and The Howling.
It also brilliantly fuses the horror and western genres. There are guns, guts, and lots of gung-ho energy. It’s a credit to innovative director Jeremy Wooding, who does a brilliant job in creating a tense and claustrophobic atmosphere. It is an origins movie with a potential sequel in development.
‘Blood Moon’ is out now in theatres and will arrive on DVD from Monday 5th October.
