“…like 28 Days Later meets a Bruce Springsteen song circa the Nebraska album…” – now that sounds like one heck of a project! FLESH AND BLOOD is the new post-apocalyptic/suspense/zombie short that takes its leads from such genre classics as ’28 Days Later’ and ‘Winter’s Bone’ with classic westerns like ‘The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly’ and ‘The Searchers’ serving as visual references. The short’s Kickstarter campaign is well under way and there are some great rewards to be had for those looking to back the project.
FLESH AND BLOOD stars Hannah Telle (‘Life is Strange’) and Independent Spirit Award nominee Clint Jordan. The short will be having its world premiere on June 5 at the 19th annual Dances With Films Festival in Los Angeles.
“When an apocalyptic virus threatens to turn her father into a violent monster, 18 year-old Max must lead him and her younger sister, Ellen, through a perilous mountain range in hope of finding a cure on the other side. With Max willing to risk it all to save her father, and Ellen willing to do anything to protect herself and Max, the small family finds itself not only struggling for survival against incredible odds, but also being torn apart from within.”
