SIMON is the latest horror feature project from British writer/director Warren Badenski and it’s a real love letter to classic 80’s horror. The movie is based on the filmmakers’ previous short horror film of the same name which has been expanded into this feature length effort. This expansion also managed to see the movie itself change from just a simple slasher-themed outing, in a similar vein to that of classic’s such as ‘Friday the 13th’, and evolve during development into a much more story orientated horror experience like that of ‘Hellraiser’ or even ‘Silence of The Lambs’. The movie stars Chris Bell and Katie Alexander-Thom who reprise their roles from the original short as well as Lexi Wolfe, Emma McMorrow, Nathaniel Francis and Dean Martin. SIMON is now available worldwide on VOD as well as on DVD across the US and you can head below to check out the trailer.
“Local journalist Sarah (Katie Alexander-Thom) is looking for her big break perusing the Urban Ripper (Chris Bell). A serial killer that’s been targeting young women and has the police clueless. As Sarah delves deeper down the rabbit hole, her actions catch the attention of the elusive killer leading to a dangerous game of cat and mouse. Can she stop him or will she become just another victim…”
