Dive into horror plot as thick and dark as you have ever wished for. From Grate & Hensel to the chilling The Conjuring 3.

Why 2020 Could Be the Best for Horror Movies Yet?

Some dismiss horror movies as cheap frills, but recent years have shown us that producer’s ability to horrify the audiences has become more sophisticated and nerve-wracking. All the more reason for you to tune in and watch some of the upcoming horrors in 2020! But first, a foreword. As it turns out, horror movies are an interesting sort of entertainment. Not everyone likes it. Just like some people enjoy playing online roulette, at Roulette 77 UK or elsewhere, some people have fun reveling in the latest horror movie gem that comes out on streaming services or the big screen.

Best Horror of 2020

Gretel & Hansel

The loved fairy tales weren’t fairy tales at all when they first appeared. In fact, they were quite the gruesome horror pamphlets but, over time, they have been toned down to accommodate a more worldly view. Surprisingly, when stripped off all the gory little details, Hansel and Gretel make for quite the little gems teaching various morals. And yet, in Osgood Perkins’ “Gretel & Hansel,” we see a return to the original, darker theme of the story. Young Hansel gets himself in trouble after he and his famished sister find a cottage in the middle of the woods. Gretel cautions her brother not to venture inside, but a ravenous Hansel marches in and steals a few bites. And so, they get themselves caught by the witch Holda, who doesn’t mean to eat them quite just yet.

The Platform

This Spanish horror is one of the best things we have seen. Its concept is simple. At the top, there is a community of well-heeled individuals who feat every night and send whatever’s left from their plates down to those on the lower levels of the platforms. Each time, a person gets a plate that has a little less in the way of food and a little more in the way of food waste. The movie focuses on one man who finds himself locked in a cell and refuses to conform with the inhumane conditions. Hunger, though, drives him mad, and he begins to plot his revenge.

Underwater

We, humans, are strange beats – no less fascinating than any other apex life form throughout space, time, and history. Yet, in our pursuit of exploring nature’s wonders, we go to quite some lengths – the depths of space and the oceans both. In Underwater, viewers get to follow the adventures of a crew who tries to extract oil from the ocean’s floor. Yet, as the drilling goes on, the crew manages to drill their way to the nest of an underwater civilization known as extremophiles, which don’t look too friendly. And they are not. Now stuck, the crew has only one chance – cross the seafloor and get to the escape pods to save their own lives and warn the world about the incoming underwater apocalypse. As their crew members become victims of the monsters and their numbers are thinning, will someone manage to escape and warn the world?

The Conjuring 3

Everyone loves a classic story of devils and evil. And so, The Conjuring 3 follows the stories of Ed and Lorraine Warren (real-life paranormal investigators) who have to deal with new unthinkable evil. In trying to understand the darkness behind violent acts, the pair will fight for the soul of a boy as well as witness the first time that someone is trying to justify their acts by claiming demonic possession as the defense. The perfect two movies definitely didn’t fail to impress and, by the same token, The Conjuring 3 promises to be no less exciting and gripping. Are demons real? We find out in The Conjuring 3 this fall.
