RENTING OUT THE CABIN AGAIN?
The Arrow chatted to Eli Roth, the horror genius behind Cabin Fever [Eli, if youre out there way to go man. Nice to see a genuinely freaky, fun horror pic back on the projectors!] about the sequel plans. Lion Gate Films are all over it already. I mean, ‘House of a 1000 Corpses’ already has a sequel in the works. It’s funny because I’ve outlined the story for the sequel and the one thing is that it has to be fucking weird…like just really weird’.
‘The other thing is that the best horror sequels have 3 or 4 years between them. Look at ‘Evil Dead’ and ‘Evil Dead 2’! Now I’m sure Lions Gate will want to rush into a sequel, but I’m in no rush. I’d rather wait and see what people really respond to in this movie. You know there are certain things in a movie that people respond to as an audience and I don’t want to go off in production on a sequel with a subject matter that nobody is going to care about. I’ve tried to throw as much weird shit in there as I can, there’s a Bunny Man, Deputy Winston…I actually would love to do a whole sequel with Deputy Winston, tells Roth.
On a side note. Is this a joke?! Seemingly no. Arrow in also talked to the wacky Party Man cop himself, Cabin Fever star Giuseppe Andrews who said hes working on a movie with Eli Roth thatll star B.A himself. I have just finished a script that I want Elis company to produce. Mr. T is gonna be in it. In one of the scenes he’s reading, Ecce Homo by Nietzsche in a Border’s book store and signing old ladies ass cheeks by the cash register…it’s all gonna be filmed in downtown Hollywood…it’s about Mexicans that win the lotto.
