RIDING THE BULLET GETS CAST
Mick Garris long-planned Stephen King adaptation RIDING THE BULLET begins shooting in Vancouver next month, and Fango is the first to report that the indie film has hired quite a cast. Jonathan (TUCK EVERLASTING) Jackson takes the lead role of Alan Parker, a college student who decides to hitchhike home on Halloween night after he learns his mom has taken ill. Trouble starts when he gets picked by one George Staub, whod be good company if he wasnt a dead guy. Genre goofball David (SCREAM) Arquette will play Staub, while SWIMFANs Erika Christensen (as Alans girlfriend) and Charles (SISTERS) Durning (as old man Farmer) co-star, and Barbara (THE ENTITY) Hershey is in talks to portray Alans mother. With the King-scripted KINGDOM HOSPITAL ABC series lensing in Vancouver at the same time as BULLET, and King expected up North to observe filming at some point, dont be surprised if the Maine scribe takes cameos in both projects.
In their first team-up with Garris, KNB will handle BULLETs makeup FX, while CBS Digital takes on the digital work.
